The Academy Awards honors the best in the film industry. Each time, the Oscar trophies are given to honor the best films of that year. Each January, the the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences would give announce it’s nominations and give out the golden statues in March. This annual events has been held since 1929. Awards of individual or collective efforts would be given out, all of which will lead to the big prize, the Best Picture of the Year.

The nominations for the 83rd Academy Awards were announced today. Leading the pack isThe King’s Speech with 12 nods, True Grit gets 10 while The Social Network and Inceptionboth rallied eight. And Christopher Nolan (Inception) gets skipped for his amazing directing efforts.
